Rating by category:
The bed was very comfortable and the room cleaned every day to an excellent standard. The staff were very friendly.
The bathroom was in need of updating and breakfast a little limited.
The room were not cleaned. Be careful not as pictured on the website for the decoration of the room! Could be a bad surprise re the comfort and design.I have asked many times for changing a bulb..didn't happen.Found hair in a towel which was supposed to be cleaned.
Style of rooms and design is peculiar. Location is very convenient close to metro and city center
The staff are nice and kind. I reached the hotel in the rate night, which no open shop. The hotel staff suggest me to use a drinking water machine to fill the water in the bottle for drinking. The room rate is cheap, comparing to other hotel in the same grade. The room is very large.
There is no elevator. The room is a little bit dark and the doors of shower room and toilet cannot be locked. The wireless internet is hardly to access and easily to disconnect.
It's a modest but very friendly and cosy hotel with an excellent location.
The bed was not very good. In the room there was only a tiny window with no view. Still it's a good value for the reasonable price.
Comportable establishment, friendly stuff. Overall good
You advertise 'breakfast' but in actual fact all i got was two stale slices of bread, lousy jam, melted butter & exceptionally lousy & cold coffee. I think that rich Canada has much more to offer. There was no hot drinks facilities in the room & someone who gets up early is forced to pay $2 for a lousy coffee (at least hot) at the next door restaurant....
Lobby was nice. Bed was fairly comfortable and great location.
Decor was a bit over the top maybe to mask some of the things that need to be desperately renovated. Rooms were very small and disjointed.
The only good thing was that the bed was comfortable. The 'ensuite' was primitive, had it not been late when we arrived we would have looked elsewhere.
Only 4 small tables for 30 giests for breakfast. Breakfast was inadequate - a croissent and 2 slices of bread. On the 3rd day there was no bread. A pot of well used jam on the table. On the Sunday we also had 2 small portions of fruit but had to wait 30 mins to get it.
relatively close to city center, interior stylish,
problems finding out reservation, staff not to helpfull, matress worn out, faucets of sink and shower almost fell off
It is an indescribable hotel. Each room is decorated differently. You must be easygoing and flexible, and love fun to stay here. It is withing walking distance to everything, and is in the Latin Quarter. We stayed during the Jazz Festival and just walked everywhere. It was a great stay. Uptight people with large expectations would be frustrated here.
The location of this hotel was fantastic - right in the heart of the Latin district and one stop away on the metro to the Grand Prix track. The staff were really friendly and informative.
We were going to the Grand Prix and booked this hotel at the last minute. Unfortunately we paid way too much money for what was on offer. The hotel is very run down which is a shame because with a little care and attention it could be lovely. Although our room was clean enough the bathroom needed a complete overhaul (broken tiles, broken loo seat etc) and the air conditioning was very poor. Too much shabby and very little chic!
The hotel was in a good location near to the city centre and was very cheap.
When we arrived we were not given an upgraded room as per our booking - we were given a very standard small room with no ensuite facilities. When I raised this with reception, the gentlemen told me he was the manager/owner and there was nothing he could do and the booking was an error because the price we paid does not include an ensuite or breakfast. After refusing to stay in the room allocated ans showing my booking forms he eventually said there was another room we could use (but that we had paid the wrong price). The new room was more acceptable although the shower and bed, etc, were, all in the same room and the toilet was only covered by a sliding door.
It was a simple clean room with a comfortable bed. The price I got the room for via bookings.com justified the room, however the hotels regular price did not.
The hotel was very old, which was not a problem in itself but the toilet was located in the corner of the bedroom with curtains around it. As well the shower was in the other formerly the room. So basically no actual bathroom, just bathroom components placed where they would fit in the bedroom. This seems like it might be unpleasant but for the price I got the room for on bookings.com I was willing to forgive the unconventional bathroom.
There were three beds at the family room and it was a quite large room. We could take warm shower and it was quiet at the night so we got good sleep.
The breakfast wasn't very good and the cafeteria was narrow for four people.
Celebrities Hotel has a very friendly staff, always willing to help us out with any kind of issues, from doing our laundry to giving advice about where to eat and go to for a haircut in Montreal'. The room we stayed in was clean.
The room was rather small, which is not really a problem but there was not a lot of space to put your stuff, only one small wardrobe for your clothes...
